Form a sheet of paper. Use a steady, circular, wavy motion. Think of a mechanical bull on 1/4 speed.

If at first you don't succeed,
try, try, try again...
and again.

Step 7 - Form a Sheet of Paper
This stage is one of motion and rhythm. While holding the mold and deckle securely together with the deckle on top, place them in the slurry and move them in a motion that combines circular, horizontal, and vertical movements. The idea is to get the individual fibers entwined as much as possible. This is the step requiring the most skill and practice.

When you feel you have the sheet you want, pull your mold and deckle straight out of the slurry and let the water drain out. Your slurry now contains a little less fiber and you are ready to proceed to step 8.
